Is the first graduate from the Master Executive Degree Program of the Philanthropic Studies Center of Indiana University.  She also holds a Master Degree in Special Education from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  She is the only person in Puerto Rico with a full Professional Certificate in Fund Raising granted by the Fund Raising School of Indiana University.  She has also been certified by the Grantsmanship Center on Proposal Writing Techniques. In addition, she has taken numerous professional courses in the field of fund raising and grantsmanship.

For over thirty years she has been working with non-profit organizations, state and municipal governments and the private organizations in areas of federal funding resources and capacity building activities.   She has offered professional services to numerous non-profit organizations in developing their internal capacity for funds development. Ms. Marti also served as advisor to the Agency of International Development (A.I.D.) on the Sustainable Project for the Democracy of Nicaragua.  Under this project she offered capacity building to establish and strengthen the civil society of Nicaragua.  She has also been invited to offer conferences in United States, Guatemala, Mexico and Brazil.

She has written professional training manuals on the topics of Federal Funds, Proposal Writing Techniques for Foundation and Corporations, Volunteers, Special Events, Capital Ventures, Annual Fund Raising Campaigns, Capital Fund Raising Campaigns, and Dynamics for the Fund Raising Process.  She developed the International Standards for Non Governmental Organizations and the Non-Profit Sector.  These NGO Standards are currently under the Intranet of the United States-Agency for International Development (US -AID) to the Missions throughout the world for the capacity building of the civil society on non-governmental organizations sustainability.
